Who we are

This website and the ITSM Compass Lab are owned and run by ITSM Compass, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Questions about these terms: info@itsmcompass.com.

Using the free tools

• You may use the tools for your own work and your organisation's internal work, free of charge.
• Files you open in a tool, such as a ticket export, are read in your browser and are not uploaded to us. You are responsible for having the right to use the data you load.
• Results are estimates based on the figures you enter and the standard methods described on each tool page. They are not professional, financial or legal advice. Check important decisions against your own systems and contracts.
• The tools are provided as they are, without any guarantee that they are error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.

Ownership

The website, the ITSM Compass Lab tools and everything in them are owned by ITSM Compass and protected by copyright: the source code, interface and design, charts and diagrams, articles, wording, findings logic and benchmark figures. Formulas that are public knowledge, such as Erlang C or availability arithmetic, belong to no one; our implementation and presentation of them are ours.

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, you may not:

• copy, reproduce, republish or redistribute the tools' code, or build a copy or derivative of a tool;
• scrape the site, or reuse its articles, tool wording or benchmarks in your own product, website, training material or AI dataset;
• remove or change copyright notices, or present our work as your own.

What you can share

You are welcome to share links to any page, quote short passages from an article, and use a tool's results or printed reports in your own meetings and documents, as long as you credit ITSM Compass and link to itsmcompass.com. For anything more, such as republishing an article or using a tool with clients, email info@itsmcompass.com.

One exception to the redistribution limits above: the free ITSM Compass theme kit for Windows 11 may be shared with others, as long as its files are unmodified.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, ITSM Compass is not liable for any loss arising from the use of this website or the tools, or from decisions made using their results. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Trade marks

ITIL® is a registered trade mark of PeopleCert. ServiceNow, Jira, Freshservice and other product names are trade marks of their owners and are mentioned only to describe compatible exports. ITSM Compass is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies.

Links and third parties

Links to other websites, booking tools and messaging services are provided for convenience; their own terms apply. How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top of this page will change with it.
